Dgx steel backplate With 5 stainless grommets along the top for attachment to a harness or backplate this is a very low profile pouch with superb drainage. Many divers also like to add a V Trim Weight to aluminum doubles. Same goes with the tank adaptors where the adaptor from DGX is 30 dollars while the one from Dive Rite is like 60 dollars. Would love to get a Deep6 BP&W (got DSS Scuba Diving Stainless Steel Backplate, Wing BCD, Harness, DGX DIR Knife. I can fit 8kg with a steel backplate so I'm covered for any combination of tank/water/suit. Bought a DGX steel plate and 30 wing, and wanted to mix and match. I found myself a bit overweighted in fresh water wirh twin HP100s so switched to an aluminum BP, which gives me better buoyancy without carrying any weight. I totally recommend it. The more rigid construction makes it a little more of a robust option over aluminum. The steel backplate I've had since (and for longer) has no sign of wear Using the straps threaded through the backplate snugs the tank and wing up very tight against the backplate and does not allow the tank to rock.
