Rope rescue technician certification Rope Rescue Technician I/II provides an intensive 40-hour high-angle rescue class that teaches skills required by fire departments, mountain, and industrial rescue teams. This course exceeds qualifications to meet Federal, State and Local-government Fire/Police/USAR Team standards for urban and remote-area technical rope rescue. Teaching and practice stations prepare students for certification testing, which includes individual skills proficiency, scenario-based performance evaluations and written exam. Technician Certification is a forty hour program. . In addition to the Industrial Rope Rescue Technician course, a Confined Space Rescue Technician and Vertical Rescue Technician Certification is offered. Roco Certification is valid for two years and can be renewed by completing our Rope Rescue Recertification program.
