If it's a buck, tuck the front legs in his rack first and than tie off around the neck. It’s way more efficient to drag a deer by running two straps around your torso than dragging that darn thing with one arm. The tarp was the key, it reduced the friction and slid along the ground real easy. Works great, also nice for hauling out ladder stands, pop-ups, chairs, tools, etc. Why do you need two loops on the deer? For several years I would just saw off a 12 inch long dead branch and tie a rope around it for a deer drag.
