Bmw 2 series boot wont open I have a 64 plate M235i and the boot has decided to stop opening. I have tried looking for a manual key hole, pulling down the back seats and a manual trunk release. In last couple of weeks the boot has not closed properly and has taken 4-5 attempts to close. Can anyone advise how to manually open the boot from the inside. I closed my trunk earlier when leaving work and now it won't open, either the shoulder strap on my bag got stuck in the latch or the mechanism broke. Cant remember where it is on the F's (as mines an E87). Looks like a plastic triangle. Have it booked into BMW Cooper Cobham but not until 18th September. You should be able to access this from the inside of the car by dropping the rear seat forward. When using either the key fob or the manual lever, the motor clicks for about a second but it doesn't unlock.
