I had my 3rd interview a little over a week now. Hey all, just trying to pay it forward by sharing my interview experience at Meta in case anyone finds it's useful. Second guy was very much in line with the kind of person you probably envision when you think of a Google software engineer, in a totally positive way. Can anyone suggest what kind of questions will be asked? There are 4 interviews 3 technical and one manager. 2. 4 b. I'm fortunate in that I get to be an engineering manager in the morning, and a senior software engineer in the afternoon, but if you go to a big company you will just be on the people side of things, no dev work. I am getting worried that I won’t get a response back since the manager in the last interview said we should get a call or email by tomorrow or sometime next week. Effective Java is important if you work with Java. Not many people are mentioning Software Engineering at Google, perhaps because it's new. It is made more difficult by the fact that if you are getting an offer that matches the equity growth Google has seen over the past couple years, the amount your manager would need to provide to match that is very outside the norm. The Hiring Manager told me it'll be a 2 or 3 weeks until I hear back since they are other candidates in the interview pipeline and some of my interviewers are on vacation next week so they cannot all discuss as a group.
